Are you a learner of English?  Whether you are in an English-speaking country or in a non-English-speaking country, the English as a Second Language HELP! Desk is unique.

We use only authentic student speech and writing for our examples and essays.

Your hostess teaching English beginning in 1976, in Spain. From 1977 on, she taught in the United States.   Our lessons come from years of teaching young adults and adults in college ESL and remedial writing classes.  They come from years of tutoring non-English speakers living in the United States in literacy programs. With a M.Ed. in English Education and English as a Second Language, your hostess has taught English as a Second Language and Remedial Writing for more than 25 years.

We believe in the value and power of good communication: Having something to say (who doesn't!), expressing it in a socially acceptable way, and using good language skills and correct grammar.
