Reported (Indirect Speech) Editing Practice #1

 

(The sentences below should be using indirect speech but contain errors with sequence of tenses in noun clauses, punctuation and word order.  Locate the errors and rewrite each sentence correctly.

1.  Growing up in Venezuela, I heard people say how important was clean water.

2.  I couldn't have imagined how challenging would it be to live in a new environment.

3.  I was told how dangerous is smoking for my health.

4.  I know how life is hard.

5.  After I read this chapter, I wondered what will be Tom Robin's fate.

6.  I asked him, what is the secret to staying young?
