That probably includes all of us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-heading\"><a>What Is a Noun?<\/a>  <a>Part One<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>noun<\/strong> is a word\nthat is the name of a person, a place, a thing, a quality, or even an idea or\nan action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are <strong>common nouns<\/strong>\nand <strong>proper nouns<\/strong>. Some common nouns\nare <em>road<\/em>, <em>bridge<\/em>, <em>tunnel<\/em>, <em>airport<\/em>, <em>news<\/em>, and\n<em>non-disclosure agreement<\/em>. Other common nouns are <em>campaign<\/em>, <em>promise<\/em>, <em>tax<\/em>, and <em>return<\/em>. Some proper nouns are the <em>United States of America<\/em>, the<em>\nWhite House<\/em>, <em>Abraham Lincoln<\/em><em>, <\/em>and<em> Konstantin V. Kilimnik<\/em> The online\npersona <em>Guccifer 2.<\/em>0 is also a proper\nnoun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>pronoun<\/strong> is a\nword that represents or substitutes for a noun. Some common pronouns are <em>I<\/em>,\n<em>him<\/em>, <em>everybody<\/em> and <em>nobody.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>For Starters: Beneath each <strong>noun<\/strong> below write <strong><em>N<\/em><\/strong> and beneath each<strong> pronoun <\/strong>write<strong> <em>P<\/em><\/strong>. (Noun phrases are italicized<strong>.)<\/strong>   <\/td><\/tr><tr><td><em>I met her at a very big party in New York.
