Hello! You have reached the ESL HELP! Desk, your first stop for fun help with English grammar and communication. At the ESL Help Desk, all of our examples and activities are based on authentic language, either written or spoken by others learners of English and native speakers. This week we are kicking off a new feature for our users - the Inner Circle. We've been planning this for some time and appreciate your patience while we've worked out some of the technical issues of presenting this body of work to you.
The Inner Circle is for learners of
all levels - beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
In addition, you'll now be able to get
practice with grammar, as you'll read essays with errors in them.
Each essay highlights a particular type of grammar error. Finally, improve
your listening comprehension by listening to the essay as it is read
aloud. Maybe you'll just want to sit back, close your eyes, and
listen. Lesson One Beginner: I Wanted to Be a Fireman Featured Grammar Focus: Articles Intermediate: What Do Children Really Need? Featured Grammar Focus: Nouns and Pronouns Advanced: Will Adam Enlist? Featured Grammar Focus: Conditional Sentences
Beginner: Buddhist Prayer Sticks Featured Grammar Focus: Nouns and Pronouns Intermediate: Why Are Some Rich and Others Poor? Featured Grammar Focus: Punctuation Advanced: What My Uncle Told Me about Marriage Featured Grammar Focus: Passive Voice
